irrelevant (and sometimes questionable) ramblings

(Not suits, that is.)

Today was the appointment for the makeup trial run at the spa. Both Rella and I got all dolled up, and I have to say — there is something to be said for having a professional makeup artist put your face on for you. We look absolutely stunning. Unbelievable.

Mind you, it *did* take almost an hour for each of us, so it’s not an everyday-type thing by a long shot.

We did joke that it would be great to have someone on-call to be able to do this regularly. And a hairdresser, too. And then, hell, why not a personal trainer on top of that? And a chef? Housekeeper?

Ah, to live the life of the obscenely wealthy.

In the meantime, of course, I shall savour my occasional spa visits when they happen.

They know.

Somehow.

I can’t figure out how, exactly, but they know.

It seems that every time my alter ego logs in to Facebook, the annoying advertisements that appear along the side of the screen all have catchphrases like, “Want to be a thin bride?” and “Will your dress fit?”

It’s creeping me out a little, actually.

(Paranoid about my fitting on Friday? Me? Nooooo….)

Be done with it. G’head.

This week is so crammed with schtuff that it’ll be Friday before I know it. Ugh.

On the way plus side, though, we get the keys for The House on Friday! W00T! And The Dress has arrived, so I’ll be going to give it a try on that same day. Then it’s all about moving, and makeup trials, and lawyer’s appointments, and caterer’s appointments, and spa treatments…

The insanity will end, I know. And really quickly, actually. Which is kind of unfortunate…

I’m edumacating myself! (Or traveling down good ol’ Memory Lane, as it were. This twig memories for anyone else? And anyone else remember a bunch of the lyrics, like me???)

I don’t know whether to feel excited or panicked.

In other news, the house deal is nearly complete! All that remains to do is pay the downpayment and sign the last few papers, and it’s ours! W00T! Eep!

I will not go into the kitchen and bite off the chocolate bunny’s ass.

A wee bit of fun excitement in all this other chaos — I was just offered a contract for Sweet Tart with Ellora’s Cave!

No other details as of yet — I’m not even sure the title will stay the same — but I will definitely keep you all posted on what transpires, so stay tuned!

(No, not the movie. Which I haven’t seen.)

That’s the number of days remaining until the Big Day. And in that time, we have to move house, finish the To-Do list, and do everything that needs to be done before that deadline.

I just hung the first load of laundry on the line for this spring!

My fingers are currently numb, but hey — this afternoon I will have wonderful, fresh, line-dried clothes!
