Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

I’m posting this early, as I won’t be near a computer New Year’s Eve — so I’m wishing all of you, Dear Readers, the happiest, healthiest and most prosperous new year ever! May 2007 bring you your heart’s every desire!

Someone once told me that the way you spend your New Year’s will influence the coming year. I plan to be imbibing freely, and spending some quality time …heh… with The Boy. I wonder if that means the coming year will be full of booze and general naughtiness…?

Damn, I certainly hope so.

All the best, my friends! Be well, and be happy! That’s all that matters. :)

Much love,

Kris :)

Opinion-Gathering In A Post-Turkey Haze

So you know the kind of liplock where the Kisser does the Alpha-type thing where he cups the back of the Kissee’s head, tangling his fingers in her hair and pulling her in for a serious, no-holds-barred smooch?

Anybody like those?

*raises hand*

I’m just sayin’, is all. :D

ps. Hope Santa was good to all of you, and you got everything you want in your stocking. :)

Good luck!! And happy launch day! :)

*EDIT: As of 7:23AM on the 21st, the book’s not yet “available” on the website. I will edit the post here when the book can be ordered. In the meantime, enter the contest! :)

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

Release day is rapidly approaching! You haven’t forgotten, have you??

In the meantime, though, while you’re waiting — for those of you looking for a little something to read, possibly a change of pace from erotic stuff, check out my dear friend Donna Alward’s website.

For four weeks, ending on the 29th, she’s posting a free sweet-romantic online read called The Mistletoe Memoirs on her site. (Scroll down a little, you’ll see it.) It’s a fantastic story about timing and what’s meant to be, and you’ll find yourself rooting for Jake and CC. I know I am. :)

So check out this talented Samhain and Harlequin Mills & Boon author. You’ll be glad you did!

As for me, I’m going to go fall into my bed because I am sofreakingtiredIthinkIamgoingtodie… Catch you on the flip side!

The Countdown Is On!

Monday, December 18th, 2006

Before I get to the really exciting stuff, a huge THANK YOU to Elise at Romance Divas for her review of Dreams of the Oasis IV. You can go here to read the nice things she had to say!

Now…prepare yourselves, gang, because Ellora’s Cavemen: Dreams of the Oasis IV will be available in THREE DAYS for you to order or download!! I promise I’ll post the relevant links to all the suppliers to make it easy for you, dear readers, to pick yourselves up a copy!

And to add even further to the excitement, on the 21st I’ll be posting a contest to celebrate the launch of the book! So stay tuned! :D

Hold Me Back…

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

In their upcoming “campaign” (read: the next catalogue), Avon has all of the sparkly, glittery, shiny lipglosses I love ON SALE for $0.99 EACH.

Somebody hide my chequebook. And somebody restrain me. Any volunteers?
Heh. :D

Now I’m off to make a music playlist for New Year’s Eve. Because I’ve got absolutely nothing else (like writing a novella) to do tonight… Nope, nothing at all…

Saturday, December 16th, 2006

I… I just… I’m at a loss. My first thought is, who comes up with these things?? My second thought is, is this one of those “feels so bad it must be good” moments?

I can’t decide whether to feel guilty or turned on.

Check out the Hot Priests Calendar.

Although on reflection, March could have the potential to make me convert.

Hat-tip to the Cuz, who somehow finds this off-the-wall shit.

*Edit: Make sure you follow all the links to the previous years’ calendars. Holy God. (Wait…can I say that in this context?) And the Gondoliers’ one, too…

Am working on a new story.

And as you can tell from this post title, it sucks. Bah. The problem is, I’m not even sure where I’m going yet. And I don’t like it.

In other news, Christmas shopping is mostly done. Next week is filling up with Stuff To Do, and then before we all know it, it’ll be Christmas Eve.

And then it’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Did I already say I was looking forward to that week? I did? Well, too bad, ’cause I’m saying it again. :D

I’m also trying to convince my cousins to do a dip in the lake on Boxing Day (the 26th, for those who don’t have the holiday) — we go to a relative’s place for the day, where the brave can have a sauna and jump into the lake via the hole in the ice (it’s not deep — at most, mid-thigh). I’ve done it before, just not for a few years. And I think it might be time to do it again. I will keep you posted on that. *And* I might post a picture, if I can get a good one. But I’m not making any promises.

Yes, I know. We Finns are kinda crazy. :D

Anyway. I hadn’t intended to blather on so long. It’s late, and I must hie myself to bed. The weekend is looking a tad busy, so I must stay on top of things.

Have a good one, gang!

ps. The stooopid stocking doesn’t seem to be working. *pout* That sucks.
